PRIVACY & DATA

A CLEARER VIEW.

HowToPickle uses the minimum information needed to operate the site, improve its content and provide the services a visitor chooses to use.

Recipe browsing and calculators.

Basic recipe browsing and calculator use do not require an account. Technical usage information may be processed for site operation, security, performance measurement and product improvement.

Email subscriptions.

If you join the mailing list, HowToPickle stores the email address you provide together with consent and subscription-status information so it can send and manage the communications you requested. You can unsubscribe from marketing email.

Search performance and Google Search Console.

HowToPickle may connect its own Google Search Console property to retrieve site-level search-performance, sitemap and URL-indexing information. This is website-owner operational data used to understand discovery, crawling, indexing, impressions and clicks. It is not used to access visitors’ Gmail, Drive, contacts or private Google-account content, and it is not sold to advertisers.

The Pantry and checkout.

Commerce features may use connected service providers for product data, cart and checkout. If you proceed to checkout, the relevant provider processes the contact, order and delivery information you submit under the applicable merchant and provider terms.

Hosting and third-party services.

The application is hosted on Base44 and may use third-party infrastructure for images, fonts, analytics, email, payments and connected operational services. Those providers may receive technical information needed to deliver their services.

Data governance.

Operational data is retained only as needed for the relevant service, legal obligations, security and business records. Access to administrative and connected-service data is restricted to authorised operators. Privacy-rights and contact information will be maintained by the site operator in accordance with the markets in which HowToPickle operates.
